A blend of 68% Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon and 32% Shiraz from the Kalimna Vineyard in the Barossa Valley, 13.5% alcohol.
Beautifully fragrant, lifted aromas of raspberry, plum, blackberry and minerals, with just a hint of menthol. On the palate the wine is quite rich and round, yet no blockbuster or fruit-bomb, with very deep, complex layers of spicy dark berry fruits, stewed plum, liquorice and graphite. Very fine, persistent tannins and lovely fresh acidity, this is a very attractive style. Just entering its peak. 95 points, drink now to 2042 (July 2025).
