A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Shiraz, sourced entirely from Coonawarra.  The Shiraz component is identical to that which became the 1990 Wynns 'Michael' Shiraz - an exceptional parcel split between the two producers which became a pair of legendary wines.

Very attractive aromas of fresh herbs, mint, plum and cassis, and a touch of tobacco.  The wine has lovely freshness and vitality on the palate, and very impressive depth of flavour.  There is loads of crunchy red currants, plum, mineral and attractive minuteness, alongside very fine, silky, persistent tannins and a lovely fresh acidity.  Great length of finish, plenty of life ahead of it.  95 points, drink now to 2024 (June 2017).
