A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc.

A quirky fact, this wine was the Wine Spectator magazine's runner-up 'wine of the year' way back in the day!  And I can see why, as it's matured into a delicious, utterly drinkable example of Bordeaux at its most tasty.  Loaded with blackcurrant, minerals, cigar box, tobacco, plum and cassis flavours, impressive length and still plenty of freshness remaining, this is now fully-mature and drinking at its peak.  94 points, drink now to 2040. (August 2022).
