Produced entirely from fruit grown in Kalimna and other Barossa Valley sites (98.5% Shiraz, 1.5% Cabernet Sauvignon), the 2002 Grange packs a punch.  A powerful expression loaded with multiple dark fruit flavours - think chocolate, mulberry, mocha, sour cherry and chinotto, along with a lovely herbal edge on the finish.  Powerful yet very fine tannins, terrific length of finish, this has impressive balance and refreshing acidity keeping everything in check.  95 points, drink now to 2050.  SP (May 2017).
