A blend of 96% Shiraz and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, mostly Barossa Valley (including a substantial portion from the Kalimna Vineyard), with small percentages of McLaren Vale and Magill Estate fruit too.

Powerful yet elegant aromas of blackberry, spice, liquorice, dried herbs and stewed plums.  These flavours follow through on to the palate, which is at once deeply-flavoured yet bright and lifted.  Gorgeous, effortless depth of flavour, ultra-fine and persistent tannins and astonishingly fresh, gentle acidity.  Beautifully-balanced, at once a show-stopper yet oozing refinement and reserve.  97 points, drink now to 2044 (June 2017).
