From the northern Barossa, Chris Ringland’s Limit Lodge is a rich, old-vine Shiraz with plenty of depth and character. The 2018 shows ripe blackberry and black plum alongside liquorice, dark chocolate, cedar and warming spice. Full-bodied and velvety, with beautifully fine tannins and a long, savoury finish. Powerful, but with plenty of nuance and detail beneath the surface.
