This is arguably Napa Valley's most iconic wine. Opus One is a collaboration between American winemaking pioneer Robert Mondavi and Bordeaux socialite Baron Philippe de Rothschild (of Bordeaux first-growth Mouton-Rothschild fame) aimed at combining the power of Napa and the finesse of Bordeaux.

2018 in Napa was a dry vintage on the cooler side with a burst of well-timed rain that brought the grapes to their prime. This wine belongs in a cellar for many years to come, but the '18 in particular is bursting with freshness. If you open it tonight, you're going to have a good time.
