The product of seven generations of family farming dating back to the late 1700s, Domaine Pignier is a staple of the Eastern French region of Jura.
Though the wine is made from Chardonnay, it is a distinct clone of the grape grown in their particular corner of the Jura from centuries of massale selection - a method of vine propagation that ensures genetic diversity in the vineyard and sometimes sends a particular vineyard down a distinct genetic path.
A rich chardonnay boosted by natural fruit weight and a natural minerality to balance it out. With a touch of age on it, some luscious, floral honeysuckle adds to the depth and complexity.
