From the Utopos vineyard in South Australia’s Barossa Valley, a tiny 0.4-hectare block planted back in 1974 provides the heart of this seriously special Shiraz. The 2019 εUTOPOS is all dark cherry, blackberry and chocolate, with liquorice, spice and a sprinkling of Aussie botanicals, wrapped in silky, chalky tannins and brilliant acidity. Rich, concentrated and beautifully long; a big Barossa red with plenty of polish and plenty of time ahead of it.
