Clos de May is a full bodied, elegant Bordeaux from just outside the Margaux sub-region.

Atypical for this part of Bordeaux, the wine is 100% Merlot coming from a Clos (walled or formerly walled vineyard) of the same name.

Merlot from Bordeaux is powerful, tannic and elegant and this wine from the exceptional 2020 vintage is just coming into its own now. It offers blackcurrant and plum, a touch of spice and just the slightest hint of tertiary characters like lavender and leather beginning to creep in.

This wine is exceptional bang for buck!
