Grapes: Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre, Syrah, Carignan

This incredible producer based in Châteauneuf-du-Pape has a secret: their 'Liberty' Côtes du Rhône is nothing short of incredible. This wine is made from fruit just outside the borders of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, so it carries the less illustrious Côtes du Rhône  appellation, but sleep on this at your peril.

Just over 50% of the blend comes from Grenache, but the wine's real secret is the addition of Cinsault giving it a lifted, delicate touch and Carignan giving it a little bit of grit.
