Clos des Papes is, without doubt, one of the finest and consistently impressive producers in all of Chateauneuf-du-Pape.  More than 35 hectares of vines averaging 50+ years throughout all sectors of the appellation, just a single red Chateauneuf is produced each vintage.  The blend is typically around 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah, and 5% Vaccarese, Counoise and Muscardin.
