While other Barolo producers are releasing separate MGA (or "Cru") releases, Conterno Fantino have gone further releasing the Vigna Del Gris and Sori Ginestra wines from single vineyards within the Ginestra Cru.

The Vigna del Gris vineyard is slightly lower altitude on highly calcareous soils giving a minerally finish with fine tannins and vibrant acidity.

The wines are finished in smaller French oak barrels, creating something more approachable in its youth, but like all Barolo, they will benefit from many years in a cellar - particularly the exceptional 2021 vintage.
