Pyramid Valley in the New Zealand growing region of North Canterbury have carved out a niche for themselves since their founding in 2000.

Originally planted by husband-and-wife team Mike and Claudia Elze Weersing after 15 years of searching for the perfect plot, the winery quickly gained accolades and found their way to quality restaurant lists the world over.

The winery changed hands in 2017 and while new owners Steve Smith and Brian Sheth were trusted to take custody of the label, fans the world over worried the quality would change. Now we know those worries were unfounded. Winemaker Huw Kinch has done the wines proud.

This rosé is a blend of mostly Pinot Noir with about 4% Pinot Gris thrown in for some aromatic bite. It is a bright and fresh rosé with summer fruits and a wonderful savoury structure that makes this a great accompaniment to chicken, fish or hearty vegetables.

These are usually low stock, so make sure you snap one up while you can.
