The nearly 3.5 hectare 'Les Petits Vougeot' premier cru vineyard lies immediately underneath the Musigny grand cru, immediately to the north of the upper slopes of the Clos Vougeot grand cru, and immediately to the south of the magnificent 'Les Amoureuses' premier cru vineyard.  In this neighbourhood, this should just about be one of the most famous and most sought-after premiers cru throughout all Burgundy, yet most wine lovers, even Burgundy nuts themselves, are barely aware of it.  The domaine owns just over 0.5 hectare of vines averaging around 75 years of age.
