2022 Bindi 'Block 8' Pinot Noir
Grape: Pinot Noir
Block 8 sits on about three quarters of a hectare on a mix of classic Macedon Ranges quartz and a touch of volcanic soils.
Where the Block 5 exudes power, the Block 8 exudes elegance with an intense bouquet and brighter, redder fruit.
For the nerds out there, the Block 8 vineyard has some very close-planted vines, with a small "crazy" (their word not ours!) section planted at a whopping 22,600 vines/Ha! The wine spends 15-17 months in French oak (50% new).
Drinking the Block 8 young will deliver a damn good time, but careful cellaring and even more careful patience will see this wine go a long way.
Production is typically around 125 - 200 dozen per vintage.
