Australian grape growers are planting Nebbiolo all over the place, attracted by its ability to show off the terroir of whatever plot it is grown in and as a result there is an emerging category all over the country that is criminally underrated.

Elderslie in the Adelaide Hills are emerging as one of South Australia's leading growers of the grape.

The label is the brainchild of Adam Wadewitz (the top dog at Shaw and Smith, Tolpuddle and The Other Wine Co) and Wine marketing guru Nicole Roberts (Bird In Hand, Adelaide Hills Wine Region Growers Association), so they've got the know-how from all angles, but that doesn't mean much if the contents of the bottle don't live up to expectations.

The bottle contents - in this case - are chef's kiss. An aromatic bouquet of lavender and roses, a palate of bright red cherries and gentler tannins than its Piedmontese cousins.
