Etienne Bodet is a tour-de-force in the tight-knit community of quality producers in the Loire sub-region of Saumur.

This is the first vintage of a powerful Chenin Blanc made from a 1.2 hectare plot of vines planted in 1953 in the village of Ternay. After spending two years in a mix of new and old oak, plus an extra year in bottle, this wine hits the shelves with a deep, dense and concentrated flavour profile with classic Chenin waxy lemon curd speckled with spices and herbs.

The wine became an instant classic helped along by the cult status of Bodet's exceptional Cabernet Franc. It makes a great addition to the cellar, ready to pull out when you need something a little different to offer your guests... or just to treat yourself with.
