Bass Phillip's 2023 'Premium' Chardonnay is characterised by an intensity and density of flavour that is rarely seen.

The wine is weighty without being overpowering, with an obvious oak influence is balanced by savoury stone fruit elements and a saline acidity. With time this will develop a luscious, rich and elegant palate that cannot be rushed.

Growing grapes in the 2023 vintage was challenging due to cold and wet conditions that resulted in yields being down by 50%. The result is a wine that only found its way into 2060 bottles - or just 171 dozen!
