To call the Bindi Dixon the label's "entry level" Pinot Noir is to do it a great disservice. This is an excellent and affordable access point to one of Australia's great producers.
The Dixon is made from fruit from the Original Vineyard (planted in 1988) and Block K (planted in 2001) and is a ready-to-drink wine jam-packed and perfumed wine with a spicy elegance.
True to Bindi style, there is no whole bunch here. 100% destemmed bunches are fermented in open-top vats before spending 11 months in French oak, about 15% of which is new.
