A wonderfully savoury and slightly unconventional rosé that has absolutely no interest in being a poolside accessory. Aromas of blood orange, ripe peach and wild strawberry mingle with dried Mediterranean herbs, rose petals, white pepper and a hint of orange peel. The palate is textured and generous, with bright citrus acidity, subtle tannins and a deliciously saline, mineral edge. A year in century old foudres adds layers of spice and gentle savouriness, giving this rosé surprising depth and staying power. Serious enough for the dinner table, but still happy to wear pink.
