A genuinely excellent estate-level Pinot Noir from the Mornington Peninsula. Moorooduc Estate's benchmark wine offers a long list of red and dark fruits but the key is the perfectly balanced tannin.

Reading their own description of the 2023 vintage, they talk of struggles for vine flowering and tiny yields, but as far as I can tell what's in the bottle at the end of the day is one of the best Peninsula wines under fifty bucks.
