Michael Dhillon (of Bindi fame's) Pyrette Heathcote Shiraz is a robust Shiraz peppered with Dhillon's in-house touch.

Thanks to being picked earlier than other Shiraz in the region, this wine preserves freshness and - while I am reluctant to compare regions - has a nose that will whisk you over to France's Rhône Valley thanks to its emphasis on fragrance and finesse.

The wine was fermented in 1000 litre open-top vats with ambient yeast and then matured in 10% new French oak.
