Hurley's Lodestone Pinot Noir comes from a 1.4 hectare plot on the Balnarring property where all of their grapes are grown. It is the warmest section and always harvested first, producing ripe and powerful wines.

For the grape nerds out there, this wine is made from clones Dijon clones 114, 115 and 777, and Australia's contribution to the ancient grape, MV6.

The vines were planted by husband-and-wife team Kevin Bell and Tricia Byrnes in 1998 and the first vintage was released in 2001. Over the new few decades, the duo have built a stable of wines that are highly sought after from three plots spanning just 3.4 hectares.
