J.J. Prüm are consistently producing stunning wines year after year from their well-established vineyards in the Mosel, even in cool vintages like 2024.
The iconic producer's Kabinett's are worthy of praise this year, with the off-dry styles from both the Graacher Himmelreich and Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyards showing a vibrancy and freshness not always seen.
The Wehlener Sonnenuhr (named for the ancient sundial of Wehlen that adorns all Prüm labels) Kabinett specifically is fresh and vibrant, with white flowers and ripe apples dominating the mix.
In general Kabinett is not a style of wine I would age for a long time, but the Prüms are notoriously good at bucking this trend. You can bet I'll have a bottle or two in my personal cellar for a while.
