Founded by powerhouse winemaker Jo Perry, Dormilona translates to ‘lazy bones’ in Spanish, a tongue-in-cheek nickname awarded to her when she was working in the Spain. Contrary to the name, Jo is anything but lazy, having worked vintages across France, California and New Zealand, managed wineries in Spain and even done a brief stint consulting in the Canary Islands! Since establishing Dormilona in 2012, she's become one of Margaret River's most exciting and innovative winemakers. 'Clayface' is fermented and aged in clay amphora, allowing the organically-farmed fruit to take centre stage.

When the Clayface ideology is applied to Cabernet, you're presented with vibrancy, acidity and like the Chardonnay and Shiraz releases under the same banner a crystal-clear snapshot of fresh fruit. In this case, it is cherries, blueberries and a hint of violet to give the nose a tickle.
