San Giusto a Rentennano is one of the oldest wine estates in the whole world, with a history dating back an astonishing 1,000 years or so, so you could say they know a thing or two about Tuscan wine.
The 'Fuori Misura' rosato is a dark coloured, savoury rosato with hints of cranberry, strawberry and blackcurrant offset by a velvety tannin.
It is made with Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Merlot with fruit coming from across the estate destined for their Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, Percarlo and La Ricolma (the one that doesn't make it to Australia!) bottlings.
Australian rosé drinkers tend to have a habit of judging a pink wine based on its colour, and for those who would go past this on looks, that's no problem. More for lovers of the savoury, food-friendly Italian rosato.
But seriously, is this not the most seductive and beguiling colour you have ever seen in a wine?
NOTE: All San Giusto a Rentennano wines are extremely limited and once they're gone, there is exactly zero percent chance of us restocking until next year! In fact, there are only 9,844 bottles (or about 820 cases) of the 2025 vintage in total, so this is your chance. Take it before I do.
