If you're looking for a well-priced addition to your cellar, the Yabby Lake Single Vineyard Pinot Noir is it.
A classic of the Mornington Peninsula, it has a rich base of dark cherries, cloves and spices accentuated by a bright, red fruit character. The acid and tannin is prominent enough to give the wine an incredible structure to develop on over time. Yabby Lake themselves suggest "at least five years and preferably more than ten".
This ageability is helped along by the near-perfect conditions of the 2025 growing season. We have a lot of winemakers and grape growers passing through our store here on the Peninsula and we'll often ask how the vintage is going. The enthusiasm of responses during the 2025 season was universal, and now that a few have made their way onto our shelves, we can say if someone made a bad wine in Victoria in 2025, we haven't had it yet.
