Grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay

Ambonnay-based Egly Ouriet are a powerhouse amongst "grower" champagnes.

Pinot Noir dominates most of their wines, although here you'll find about 30% chardonnay as well. If you have never had them before, this is a great entry point. The Grand Cru Extra Brut showcases their house style of power and intense florals with a dense concentration of flavour helped along by their exclusively low-yield fruit.
