This wine is made from fruit coming from three Bourgueil lieu-dits (Les Sables, Les Pins and Les Perrières) which all sit at 50m above sea level (hence the name).
This is a fruit-forward wine that sits in the red area of the fruit spectrum. Bright red cherries and raspberries dominate and while tannins are abundant (it is Cab Franc after all), they take a backseat to some delectable juicy goodness.
Grab a bottle of this to drink now, and the Amirault Les Malgagnes to lay down for a few years.
